ok, i got my worries when everyone thought the red colour was wrong.
I have made several calls to importers and asked about this fish.
I tracked my group down to where they came from.
I contacted the importer that took in this group to sweden and he says that it came 3 boxes of muzimu green at that time. like 6 or 7 years ago.
1 box were all green fish and 2 boxes was mixed colours , my box is one of the mixed colours.
And they are from a pond located in Burundi.
So they are Muzimu green for sure.

According to the importer they are variable in the colour.
I talked to him yesterday and he said it was for sure muzimu.

At NCS homepage there are pictures of ubwari(muzimu) (same fish) according to the importers here in sweden and they look alike.

I have fishes in my colony that are as green as the fish above too , togheter with other variants of color.

So.. who should i beleive? The importers that brought the fish from burundi or you?
I know of 2 other ppl that have muzimu green here in sweden and they have the red colored muzimu as well.

i dont know.. ill guess i have to trust the importers..?

I think the clue is in the answer though. Not trying to upset anyone but Green means Green from where I am from.
Unless one of the local Africans walked by the pond with a bucket Bulu's and dropped them in by accident. Muzumi Green have always been Green where ever I have seen them. Or FOB have started modifying them

These are the Tropheus Ubwari "Green" Population 5.3 and 5.4. (according to Peter Schupke)

That is just silly...
of course not. Murago looks totally diffrent.
As i said , i have the green ones also.
And some of them have the red color.
Or both red and green.
i have talked to 3 diffrent importers from 3 diffrent locations yesterday,
including the importer that brought the fish here.
and all of them says that they are variable in color.
look ubwari up, ubwari and muzimu is the same fish but diffrent names.
i have some peices that looks exactly like the ubwari too.

look at the red belly for example.. not all red belly looks like the one that is shown in this thread.
I know of someone that are collecting them, he has taking 3 patches of boxes so far and are waiting for his fourth , he wants the red ones but they are pretty rare. so they are variable in color too.
