Yes, great book. I got my copy about 2 months ago for under $54 delivered from Amazon. The only thing, is that all of the species are categorized in a lineage and not moorii, brichardi, duboisi, polli, sp. etc..... Also, a bit outdated as I am seeing a number of species out there that are not listed in the book.

However, I do not regret buying it as it is an unbelievable resource on Tropheus. It is my bible on the genus. Definitely worth the money! And yes Matt, it comes with a nice poster, mine is getting framed for the fish room.

I think I paid about the same price on amazon. It's a good deal, considering I saw it on some other sites (geared towards aquarium enthusiasts) for $120. And free shipping for orders over $25 isn't bad either... Unfortunately I won't be getting my copy for a few weeks though. I added a couple other books to my order as well to save myself the shipping cost in the future (the additional books came out to less than $20, so wouldn't have qualified for free shipping by themselves), and those additional books are on backorder, so I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my aqualog.

It was published almost 10 years ago, so I'm sure it's missing some recent info, but I couldn't find any other books that seem to delve as deeply into tropheus specifically, so until I find something better I'm sure I will be happy with this one.

I have had mine for a few years and consider it indispensable. For the other owners of this book, I know they are supposed to release supplements to keep up with newer species being added. To date I have only found one featuring tropheus Kabwe II, Karilani, Sizunga (Sisunga) - does anyone know of any other supplements, either upcoming or previously released?

Same here, the book helped cement some ideas I have about Tropheus, seems like your not an official Trophs.com member unless you have this book, great post thank you.

I bought mine off of amazon when I purchased my first troph colony. Answered a lot of questions; even ones I couldn't get answered here.

Anyone have an idea of when a petro aqualog is coming out?

Hello saji1986,

At the moment the German publishing house, Aqualog, has not returned to edit any more chromes, with any more photos of new varieties of Tropheus.

Best regards,

Hello flyn,

At the moment, I do not believe that Aqualog is going to publish the new one and less still of Petrochromis, a species of cichlids with few interest. Anyhow, the author of the book of Tropheus, Peter Schupke, has published several articles about Petrochromis in the German magazine, Aquaristik.

Best regards,
