Same foods, same water change regimen. I don't know. I've had these RR'S for 5 years. No problems.

Siphon the substrate regularly? Clean the filters regularly?

Siphon with every W/C. Filter cleaned about every 6 weeks.

This isn't the first that I've heard this year of people seeing bloat in their tanks. I think that the extra rain and to much chems being added in tap water without notice could be partially to blame.

I always use more De-chlorinator that I should to avoid such issues.

IDK. Just brainstorming...
