Every sunday around 80% (100g) from each of my 120's.
Anything less and I have a hard time keeping the nitrates down.

40 to 50% every fourth day. I also age my water in a 100 gallon holding tank. I heat the water to 79 degrees and add Seachem Safe, Tropic Marin Marine sea salt, and Seachem Tanganyika Buffer.

I used to change 50% of the water weekly - but I couldn't keep the nitrate levels as low as I would like it. I am now changing up to 50% of the water twice weekly, Mondays and Fridays - it leaves me the weekend to change water for my non troph tanks. Twice a week will help when I feed the messier foods ie. PE Mysis just before a water change.

Saturday morning, 50%, replace prefilter pad every week, carbon every 3 weeks and 100 micron socks 3-4 weeks, vacuum sand in certain areas, scrape the glass, add the salt and go, 1 hour start to finish. The tank always looks he best Sunday morning with fresh carbon

I change anywhere from 50-75% once a week. I did change a little more often when I had my tanks pretty full, like 45 adult trophs in a 125. But now, I have much smaller colonies and once a week seems to be fine.

Believe me, I wouldn't do it if I didn't have to. We get charged for every gallon coming in, and every gallon going out (sewage charge), which means for every 100g I put into the tank, I'm charged for 200g. I change 100g on three, and 30 on one tank every week. That's 660 gallons I pay for every sunday. Anything less than this and my fish are in 40ppm nitrates.
