Question Can Infection Spread With This Setup?

Hey Guys

Quick question, i have 2 x 75G tanks and one sump which filters both tanks.
So the same water circulates through both, if one or 2 fish in one tank are infected with bloat can it spread to the second tank via filtration system?

Thanks

If two or more tanks are run on the same system there is always risk of the infection spreading

It could, and so could any medication put in one tank. I'm trying to find where I read that wet dry filtration does a good job in controlling disease and as to why, if I find the read I'll post it soon, just have to remember which book it was. Ill update this when and if. but generally, what Discman said.
