I wonder if you could put some type of plastic cage around the lower portion of the Anubias to guard it from the new shoots being immediately attacked by the colony. Something that would stop the fry from getting in but also let enough light in or at least enough room for the shoots to grow through it and past to the point of being hardy enough to survive..... Hmmmm. Something like a plastic mesh that could be formed around it and zip tied.

Any ideas out there?
