Really nice tank.
I dig the background.
What is wrong with growing algae?
I grow algae in my tank and glass and the trophs / petros / simos love it.
I like watching their huge lips (naughty naughty) on the glass.
It is more natural.
But thats just me.
More pics please.
I absolutely love looking at this tank.

Frankie

Thanks Frankie glad you like the tank! Nothing wrong with growing algae in fact I like it as well. The trophs love grazing on it during the day. All of the rocks are covered in algae which I like. I just don't enjoy the algae on the substrate since it gives the tank a dirty look. The trophs only graze on the rocks so they leave the substrate alone for the most part. It's never been a problem in any of my previous setups so it must be this new substrate. I'll try and get more pics soon!

Hey guys I took a quick updated FTS last night and took a short video with my iphone. The quality isn't that great so I apologize. I have 25 RR and 20 Kaiser IIs in the tank. They are all still juvies around 1.5-2 inches. A couple of the bigger guys are pushing 2.5 inches. Had them for about 5 months now.

Forgot to ask, do you mind posting your hardware specs? ie. powerheads, filtration, lighting. Maybe a change in flow rate or light spectrum might help with the algae growing on your substrate.
