Hey everyone,

I'm about to start my first tank of tropheus. It's going to be a 160x60x70 tank.
I'm probably going to put about 30-35 trophs in there.

The problem is, I can't decide with one...

The candidates are: Kiriza or Bemba...

Does anybody have any comments on why Kiriza's or Bemba's outside off esthetic reasons...

regards

Kim

I have seen wild kiriza and they are amazing. Consistent colors, bright yellow/orange.

I have Bembas. F2's. The dom male is stunning. Wide orange band that continues evenly thru the dorsal. Many of the others still have the traces of their vertical black stripes thru the orange band. I have had them for just over a year. They were 5/8" when I got them. They are all 2 to 3 inches now. I have one female holding. Seems like its been about 34 days. Shouldn't she spit by now?

Kiriza are more consistent in colour. Though real good Bembas can be stunning. But you should only buy when you saw them in real (or their parents if they F1).
Both are usually profilic breeders, no need to tumble or shake or whatever. I gave away fry of my Bemba group for free because I didn't know what to do with all those fish.
