Default Stocking a 75g?

What would be a good number of adult tropheus for a 75gallon?
Im not buying adults to begin with.
Also what would be a good starting number to get when they are 1-2 inches?

20-25 adults in a 75g will be just fine. Some say more and yes it's possible but I would move closer to 100g+ for 30 tropheus.

Starting out with 20+ fry is best.

Okay I feel a little better now about ordering I think I'm going to order around 30 so there are a few extras for culling purposes

I couldn't agree with Andrew more. 20-25 is a great fit for a 75.

And starting with 30 fry is a great way to work toward that final number.

You're going to love tropheus... nothing better!

75g are a decent foot print for breedign trophs I have used them a ton for all kinds of trophs with great success. As long as the filtration is there I used to keep anywhere from 21-25 wild adults. When starting with smalls you are guessing at 50/50 ratio, always hope for better, but thats the safe bet, so if you want to end of with a group of 20 in atleast trios 30-35 should work out for you. Just let me know if you need anythign with you being right next store fedex overnight up to 50lbs is only $20.

I have 24 chipimbi in a 72 gallon bowfront...very active & happy colony that looks potentially to be male heavy but then 1 of the ones I thought was a bossy male has a mouthful of eggs today...only young little blokes @ 2-3"...frequency & size of water changes will increase as they mature but right now things are optimal in terms of nitrates and water clarity with a 50% change every other week and a sparing feed twice daily
