FYI: (Just some Random Filters power consumption...
-Fluval FX5 = 50watts (Has Circuit Board controlled power usage.)
-Aqauclear 110 = 14watts
-Eheim 2236 = 8Watts

thanks.. did not know that aqua clear and eheim consumes low wattage.. haha.. things we learn everyday! everything is tight right now.. specially with expenses with kids in school etc... love the hobby.. just wish sometimes i just stick to the specie i want.. i normally trade off my cichlid fry with other cichlid species to have variety in my stock.. thanks!

The thing I like about using sumps is that you can run more than one tank per sump, I am running 2 tanks for tropheus off of one sump. I know that sometimes this may not be the best to share filters but I quarantine all my new fish before I put them into the tank... If I run into trouble with a break out in one tank I can always keep that tank shut off from the main system ... if done right a sump can help reduce your expenses but keep you tanks crystal clear and healthy. With minimal cost.
