Default Alternative Lighting

So at the same time im building my Troph set up, im also refurbishing my kitchen,
Was in OSH looking at undercounter lighting and they had a display of Halogen, Xeon and LED's.

Im thinking mmmmmmmm Just maby good for my tank, the lights in the shop were turned on, the Halogen were way too hot, but the Xeon not so much, bought 2 of the Xeon thinking if they dont work out on the tank i would use them in the kitchen and at $12 each they were a steal. I also bought 1 of the LED strips and had to order the rest for the kitchen, both of these units are dimable and they link together.

The Xeon's are 20 watt, the LED's have 10 lights on a 15" strip

I filled the tank and put the Xeons on, quite good but a bit yellow, was a little worried about heat as they are 4" away from the top of my acrylic tank, i watched them a while all was good, so i left them on overnight, the acrylic was just warm to the touch, i added 2 of the LED's and im quite pleased with the results.

That light produces a natural look. Great pick up!
