Default Water Temp vs. fry/juvenile sex

Food for thought,


Any thoughts on the temperature of water affecting the outcome of the SEX of fry and juveniles during development ? Does the temperature actually affect what sex the fish will become ?

I don't know of any study having been done on that with Tropheus. It was proven that with turtles, the lower temps produce males, the higher temps females. With the Tuatara Lizards, it is the opposite. With crocodiles, males were dominant in medium temps, and females were born from either hot or cold temps. With FISH in general, males are born from higher temps:
