Default Ilangi, Ikola, or Moops?

Hey everyone! I'm getting back into tropheus, and was wanting to see everyone's opinion on what species of tropheus I should get. I was on this forum when it first launched, but due to college and a disaster with my fish house, I went from 40 tanks down to 1.

With that being said, I am open to suggestions on what to get. I am leaning towards Ilangi, especially considering the reputation of Greg's F1s. These will be going in a 40g temporarily, and then into the 180g that my Malagarasi used to be in. I'm going to be getting F1's from Greg. If any of you have purchased his Ilangi, I would love to see some pictures

Looking forward to coming back to my first love, and thanks for all of your help!

So far looks like Ilangi are the tropheus of choice! No complaints for me. Keep up the voting

I would really love to see pictures of some that have come from Greg. I'm sure his are top notch, but it would still be nice to see some.

Thanks again everyone for your votes. I appreciate it

Moops all the way. Big golden orange blotch on the flank, speckled face, and a blue dorsal. What more could you ask for.

They are my second choice, and I will have a tank of them someday. If Greg had F1s it'd make the decision much tougher. Wish I had all those tanks still. Haha.

Murago or canary cheek. As far as Ikola go I'd rather get Bemba. My opinion though.

Ikola are way nicer as far as uniformity. They all have nice yellow bands and dark heads and tails. I keep a group of Pemba and they are nice, but not like any of the Ikola groups I have seen. They Ikola have Steeler colors, which is their only downfall.

I'm going for uniformity, and I know moops and ikola are notorious for having uniformity throughout the group. However, from what I have seen on this forum, the ilangi from Greg also have uniformity throughout the group, and it's hard to beat Ilangi in terms of color. Again, these will be going in a 40g breeder for a few months and then my 180g, at which point I will be purchasing more.

I personally prefer ikola over moops by a little. The black and yellow contrast is unreal. Plus, living in Wichita, KS, they represent our Shockers!!!

Btw Greg, if you see this. That was the best game of the tournament this year
