is it still a bad idea to put them together in a community tank, 260 gallon 7'H x 2'W x 2 1/2'H? I was thinking of maybe 12 or 14 of each group along with Bulu Point

Bad idea. One or the other. They are too similar.

I agree 100% with GAW!

It's fine to do so if you don't plan on breeding them. If they spawn and spit the fry and you get some hybrids it's you choice to keep them in there... So it's okay for you to mix them as an owner but not as a breeder... It's just the cross breeding that you would have to worry about. So if you are not worried about selling or keeping the fry or having hybrids in your 260 eventuallly (there's no telling how long until it happened once they started spawning in the tank) then the bottom line is that it's your choice...

Yeah I figured it's no good for breeding. I'm not planning to breed, tank this size would be a pain to catch the fish, even though I figured using eggcrates would help.

I would like to mix a bunch of colorful species together, have schools of different colors swimming back and forth in a 7' tank would look awesome =)

Then go for it. I'd go with Murago's, Ulwile, and Chipimbi.

I had Red Ndoles, Bembas and Dubs in a 120. It was chaos. I moved the Ndoles to another tank. No signs of crossbreeding. You have a bigger tank. Do it. Load it up.

Yeah that would look sweet! I have Chaitika, Kachese and Ikola in a 180 right now! Planning on moving the Kachese though... or the Chaitika.. I'm not sure yet! lol
