Older thread but I think I will continue.
I have a group of w/c ilangi (one male &5 females) in a 70 gal that are producing nicely.
Just bought 58 ikola fry that I put in a 100 gal(5') that should make a nice colony.
I also have quite a few petros in a 350.

Newly acquired 125 gal. Tank equipped with fluval 406 and Eheim pro 3 w/ heater and blue background. Any input would be great.

What kind of input are you looking for?

It will work. Just make sure that you feed the tank the tropheus diet. The others will be fine.

I would recommend aragonite for substrate, weekly 40-50% partials and siphoning the substrate a couple of times a months and maintaining a filitration cleanign schedule according to how quickly the detritus builds up inthe filter media.

Circulation pumps are great for lifting waste off of the substrate a couple of times a day. I'd say running one for 1-2hours every 12 hours each day. I like to place mine on the end of the tank in a back corner and pointing it towards the front middle of the tank.

I see the winner (so far) is local hobysist. In my area there are few people keeping or breeding any Tropheus. I wish there were more local people or LFS'S in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area.

Lol... Was wondering how these old posts were popping back up, found one of mine from sometime way back saying I had done it yesterday... I was thinking someone hijacked my name, so voting on the polls, cool.
