Hi all,
I got myself a small colony of Tropheus 'Chilambo Yellow Rainbow' Wild Caughts a few days ago. They were imported through Airfish in Germany (I am in Australia). Does anyone have any info on these guys? They are listed as a 'NEW' variant on a couple of different importers stock lists. I would be interested in possible collection points. They are not listed as Chilambo in the Tropheus Aqualog. They look similar to Linangu, but it has been pointed out that Linangu have more purple/maroon on the top of the body whereas the greeny yellow sheen extends all the way up on the Chilambo I have.
Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated.
Here's a couple of pics.

Ignore the Kasanga's, the Chilambo are fairly distinctive. Before anyone asks, I am not keeping these guys in the same tank, they are just there until I finish treatments and they settle in.
cheers
shane

Thanks Gerry,
I emailed Thomas from Airfish, and he tells me the collection point is at the Sumbu National Park near Cape Nangu. In the Tropheus Aqualog book, they look very similar to 8.4 - Nangu aka Kabeyeye. I asked Thomas if they were the same fish, and his reply was 'similar'.
Cheers
Shane

I have 10 of them and I wish I knew the ratio. We did our best to vent them. I tried to get 2m/8f, but without some sort of a magnifying glass, it was quite difficult.

They are collected around Cape Nangu and they are very similiar to the regular Nangu variant.
I have a couple of Nangu still left hanging around that I can grab a picture of.
