O yeah, them two fishes are not one and the same. The green muragos have way more dots on the face.

However, I think both look nice in their own ways. I guess you can say that about any tropheus really.

I've never posted pics before so I hope it works. These are pics of my Yellow morago. It's amazing how different these fish look from one tank to another. These pics really dont do them justice from how they look in my tank but still they didn't turn out too bad. The bodys are a lot more yellow than what they look here.

Wanted to update this debate.

http://www.houstonfishbox.com/vforum...ad.php?t=26826

On the link you will find that people are saying there are 4 types of fishes living very close together.

1) Green Murago - Lusingu

2) Yellow Murago

3) Limespot Kapampa

4) Zongwe

The conclusion on this forum is that there are only two murago. One being the green murago and the other being zongwe. Furthermore, the zongwe is being called (AKA) yellow murago.

The conclusion on the link is totally different. There, they are saying the yellow murago and the zongwe are not the same but rather two totally different variants.

Requesting help from all experts to relove the issue.

There's a brown variant of the Murago as well. I saw them in 2007 and they look great, for me better than the yellow variant.

Was there variation in the colony? Or did all of them look brown like that?

I think that's the whole point. Yellow murago is not zongwe.

Yellow murago have spots on their faces and zongwe don't.
