Default Tropheus size and growing??

So I noticed some of the fish (R,rainbows) are getting bigger while some are still fairly small. All came from the same place and all the same size give or take as fry.

Could the smaller ones be females or are they just not getting enough to eat and or the bigger ones being pigs and should I be concerned with the smaller ones and will they catch up size wise in time??

Currently the bigger ones are around 2" plus the smaller ones are around an 1" plus.

I wouldnt worry about it, its normal. Just like humans they are all different. Its not necessarily the smaller fish will be females. Ive had very small fish turn out to be males and of course the more dominant fish will consume the most food and there for grow a bit faster whether they be male or female.
Try feeding both ends of the tank so the smaller fish dont have to fight for food in just one place among a concentrated mass of fish. I open the tops and in quick succession drop some food left side, right side, left side, right side making sure all fish get their fare share. See how it works and try whats best for your fish and setup

making sure all the fish are eating well can prove to be difficult at times. ive had some smaller fish that no matter what i tried would only get a piece or two and some times none at all. when dealing with trophs you just have to let it be and make sure to not over feed the tank especially when they get bigger. ive never lost any fish that way but it is frustrating. for the most part, after time and pecking order is established things should even out.
