Default Heater issues..

Well I was doing a water change on some newly added dubs who were sick, when I realized holy crap my tank is freezing!

I have two Via Aqua heaters going, 250 w and a 300 w and the temperature was at 74. So I am now going through threads on heaters and it doesnt seem like anyone can come to a conclusion on which heater works best.

I am currently looking at Aqueon which are pricier than most on Kens Fish, or Titanium heaters, not sure which to go with but I want to order from Kens Fish. Let me know what everyone thinks off of his website is best.

Thanks

Rhick i would go with Eheim Heater...for my experience I believe they are one of the best and you can even reset them...Keep my water to constant temp. hope this helps G/L..

Eheim Jagers for my money. The two times I've strayed from them in the past 20 years have bit me in the butt.

I use nothing but eheim jagers. IMO all heaters these days are kinda crappy, but the eheims are the best of the lot IME

Eheim Jager heater for sure. I have used the Fluval, Marineland, All-Glass and Aqueon heaters over the years and the Jagers have been my favorites. They are very accurate and you can adjust the temperature adjustment ring on top so that it displays the temp more accurately (if it was inaccurate for some reason). I am setting up a new tank and a Jager will definately be used.

Yesterday I got a Visi therm from big Al's after returning a Stealth for the recall. Thing isn't working. It has the numbers painted on with white out and a crust on the glass shaft... They said they restocked a returned item by accident... Awesome

I use Aqueons on all my tanks. They are very accurate (within 1 degree) and I have never had a problem with them. They also come with a little light to tell you they are working.
