Default Building a custom tank n have filter questions

Hi there fellow fish lovers. I have been looking for a 200-300 gal acrylic tank but had no luck finding a quality one. So I have decided to have a custom one built for me. I've decided on a 84"x30"x24" due to the size of my living room. I need some opinions on an overflow system for the sump below. I really like the external overflow idea, especially it allowing more swim room for the WC fish but would like to hear some pros and cons of it. So any opinions from you knowledgeable filter people would be much appreciated at this time. Remember I have one shot at doing this the best way possible and need help from as many of you as possible! thank you in advance!! looking forward to hearing from you guys.

How close you want it to the wall determines wether internal or external. The single biggest thing I wanted is ease of changing the pre filter, as I clean it mid week and replace the blue floss weekly, I am using the durso stand pipe with his prefilter. I have found this is the quietest way for an overflow system. Trophs make a lot of waste and you need to get it out of the system as often as you can, a canister filter traps the mechanical junk and is not cleaned weekly. I use a canister that is fed water from the clean side of the sump and exits to a uv sterilizer and then returned to the drip tray.
