Hi All,

I bought a WC moops group from Petroscrazy about a month ago. yesterday I noticed that two females are holding. You know, my hands are itching to strip them and use the tumblers, but i won't do it this time. I will wait for at least 2 weeks to do it. At this time, I dont see they are eating when I feed them the 2mm pellets, should I give them flakes instead?

Thanks, Khang :ac15:

If they holding then they are not going to eat no matter what you feed them.

Thanks Mr. Johnson. Because I have read some saying they eat little while holding.

They do.

I have seen some females do it and some that don't.

Also, they tend to eat a little bit when the fry are older, like 14 days or more.

+1, some females will just eat all the time, to minimize loosing eggs during this period, I give the group some spirulina flakes as well for the females who are eating instead of pellets only or as long as the pellets are not too large. Some females just confuse the pellets for eggs and tend to loose your yield. You just have to kind of watch them and see how they respond.
