Sorry had to rush that one out, here's a bit more info.
I've kept and have been breeding a F1 trio of Bembas in a 4ft x 18' x18' for a couple of years now and recently have started keeping a few fry to build a bigger colony. I now have a small colony of 6 ( 1M 5F ).
I just bought a friends 6ft x 2ft x 2ft setup who I sold 8 fry to earlier in the year. With the sale came 10 Moliro and the 8 Bembas. The fish range from 4-8cm.
When setting up the tank I added my 6 Bembas. All fish are getting along fine, no aggression.
So my question is will the Bemba and Moliro cross breed or do they have enough numbers of their own variant to keep them happy?
Or...
Am I better off putting the Moliro ( being the smaller colony) into my existing 4ft tank which I planned to keep as a grow out tank for my Ikola and Bemba fry?

My friend had the exact two species in his 6ft (155gallon Bow front) tank. They did not cross breed. I've read that the general rule is you can have a Tropheus Moori and a species black.

In your case you have a Tropheus Moori in the Moliro and a Tropheus Black in the Bemba. I've read the Tropheus sp. black consists mostly of 3 of them such as the Bemba, Cherry Spot (Bulu Pt) & the Kiriza Kaiser II.

Did I miss any other sp. black besides the ones mentioned above?

I always thought Moliro was a sp. red?

If so, reds will cross with anything that swims

Thanks for the advice guys. The Moliro are still not of breeding size yet so I'll set up and cycle my other tank for a week as of tomorrow. I'd rather keep single species only tanks anyway, was just trying to keep a tank free for fry grow out.
