Default Hello from Winnipeg

Hey there from Winnipeg! I have kept Cyprichromis and paracyprichromis for some time. I would have to say that Tangs are my faves.
So now I am trying out Tropeus Mpulungu! 12 beautiful babies. 1.25" lots of dots and colors starting up.
Watching them is very entertaining.
They have been inspecting every inch of the tank. They love the moss ball but looks like they might just be tearing it apart..because they can. .

I decided to buy them after reading lots of info from this site. So I hope I can get lots of helpful info from all u experienced tropheus keepers.

Hello there B-Puff! Glad to have you on the forum.

Congrats on your new little guys and gals! Always an exciting time. Looking forward to seeing them grow on the forum.

The action of the Tropheus in a colony environment is a very entertaining thing for sure!

I have 6 Adult Pemba in a 40 gallon and the two WC Females spawn regularly. The 4 males keep each other busy.

I don't recommend this situation but it can be done.

From reading alot I will have to accept deaths to happen from aggression. I have kept other fish that should be larger schools and have had luck so I'll let it be as is and go from there. Those little buggers are expensive lol. And u know how it is..sometimes u do better with on kind of fish than another. To be figured..

OH I wouldn't worry about it for now. I think that you should be good with 12 for some time if not for good or until you start adding fry back to the colony, or buy more.

Just watch them and get to know their personality and then you'll more easily see a change in their dynamics.
