Default New Petro sp. Red set up

I recently moved my Petro Reds to a different spot in my great room. I also re-did all the plumbing and got a new stand and canopy. I went from an inside the sump pump to an external. Got a new sump as well. Got a new 36 watt UV sterilizer as well.

Ah nice! Yeah there seems to be less noise with the pumps when they are outside of the sump.

Did you state once that you got an Inline turbine pump or something like that?

Is the Sterilizer for any algae buildup or is the main focus bad bacteria? I've considered this myself of my WC tanks. Just a simple inline one to kill off the bad stuff during acclimation months and or new introductions.

My pump is a fluval. I drilled the sump and plumbed it outside. Works great. I ran another valve from the main line to feed the uv with clean water and return to the sump. Uv is for water clarity but I'm running it at only about 200 gallons an hour so it will kill anything floating in the water. I also run my fx6 to polish the water. Petros look like they are floating on air. Crystal clear.

I also moved one of my males to a hospital tank. Injured his eye in a battle with one of the other males. Only two males in the tank right now. both 10 inches.
