Default WC Tropheus Nkonde

I posted this group back in June or July while they were still in their quarentine tank. They have really blossomed into an all star colony. The first day that i moved them into their own 135g, they had two spawns. In the six months that i have had them, they have produced almost 200 fry. Ratio is 10m:20f. The lighting in my tank isn't the greatest but you can get some good views of their brilliant color in certain spots of the tank. Even on some of the fry at about 1" the plum heads are present on some of them. Also watch video in the 720p or highest quality setting.

Yes they are, and always 4-6 females holding at a time. It took about six weeks to get them conditioned. I got them from Tom. He held five back until he got them eating and sent them two weeks later.

Default Fry from this colony

I'm really impressed with the quality of fry this colony has been producing. Above is a short video of the last batch of fry i shipped out mixed with a new batch that i just added in the growout tank. You can notice a substantial size and coloration difference between the two. The new fry are .5-.75" and the fry that have colored up are 1.25- 1.5". Ive noticed them starting to gain nice color around the 1" range. The video was shot a night before shipping, so that would make two days after a water change and day 2.5 of fasting. Please watch it at 720p or higher if possible.
