I know those japan imports can be expensive. What type of sand is that ?
In deed they are the pre-ban 2008 Seiryu stones.

I see knock-offs (still very nice looking) rocks be sold as seriyu. Also, the ones in my tank are big. I actually have about 125 pounds I'm not using (mainly S/M size). To put in perspective the size of the rocks I'm using, the Elos 120p is basically a 4 foot tank.

The previous owner of these stones place in the international plant competition.

I have the rock's as a carry over from my planted tank love days.

And a little bit of info for those tropheus lovers that don't know about these plecos.

"Construction on the Belo Monte Dam complex appears to be progressing swiftly, despite legal challenges and the protests of indigenous tribes whose lands and livelihoods are threatened."

mr. Johnson,
you have just elevated the level of the hobby. the fish is one thing but Amano? Great stuff from a Japanese legend...
thanks for posting..

ps
I had zebfa plecs in the 90's. bought them from local pet shop in Connecticut for
50 bucks a piece. I had to let them go... now they re worth their weight in gold.
