Do you ever keep really small groups in bare tanks?

Iv got a small group that Im working right now in a bare tank and the aggression is minimal. Its working well.

Little thin to drop tubes but they are practice spawning like crazy. So I think once fattened up, they will breed fine without structure until i can build the colony numbers up.

Small groups?

Please define...

1) I kept 4m/1f polli and built a full 30+ colony from that group. It produced close to 1k fry for me. I recently sold this group.

2) I kept 2m/2f chimbas and built a full colony with them.

3) I kept 2m/3f moori namansi reef and breed a colony out of them.

4) I bred a pair of petro macro rainbows and produced a colony out of them.

5) I breed a pair of petro macro greens which produced over 1.5k fry for me.

.....they don't need caves.

Yup, do a search on here and on houstonfishbox.com.

There are pictures and details of how I did it both for tropheus and petros.

P.s. why didn't you use the search function before you posted that?!

Just thought Id note...that was not an invitation for a power statement to be bestowed upon me.

It was me just being friendly and tossing you the ball to engage in conversation.

The question was rhetorical.

Fo sho, this the interweb.

I don't get worked up about anything.

You asked a question and I wanted to be responsive.

It's like all the comments about "nice looking tank" when the tank really looks like @$$

If people post pictures asking opinions, I'm think it's only fair to be responsive to them and tell them their tank is ugly.
