I think you're making the right decision Cano. I moved fish only 60 miles once and it was stressful as hell. It was only one tank of mbuna. I couldn't imagine moving all those tanks and fish 1,000+ miles with a family.

My friend moved from Ohio to Texas after he finished his dissertation. His fish lived in buckets for over a week. Never any problems. Actually had females holding and were still holding after they went into new tank. The idea about getting a friend to ship is good.
