No problem Lance, they suit just fine . I can't argue with those pics lol, mine have never looked anything like that. I have several interested buyers from East Coast Cichlids that are fairly certain they are Red Moliro's

Lupota is possible, pretty close but a couple of things I notice that don't fall in line, spotting on the anal fin, is more dense and continuous and there is spotting in the top/main fin - I don't see either of those distinct traits in my fish, maybe it's a giveaway they are not that species, maybe not. Similarities though, quite a few, some yellow/gold in the sides at times, red & blue in the fins (read that their is very few Tropheus that have blue in the fins), dark navy blue heads, spotting in the anal fin, albeit different as noted above.

Thanks for your continued input on these fish Lance!

I'm going to post an id thread and get this resolved hopefully. Clearly, not Ilangi though.

Yours are run of mill Ilangi's or WC's / F1's or what?

If you get a buyer in NJ for some of your other fish I will take the Ocellatus of your hands.

if I did, I wouldn't risk them as far as houston. Lol, I'm moving your way, I'll be 20 mins outside Austin (although you are still a good drive from there), if they aren't sold by Jan 5th, I guess they are coming with me, haha.

Why would he sell them if he brings them with him and they survive the trip?

That was the reason he is selling - he doesn't want to risk killing them.
