I need advice on new aquarium set up before I purchase. I currently have a 150 reef ready with sump.

I would like to get a 240 gallon aquarium with dimensions of 72X24X31 as the tank will go in my basement and this is the largest length I can get around the corner and thru the door to the basement, short of cutting a wall or building a plywood tank on site.

Can I use my Ocean Clear canister filters, blueline external pump from my current set up on a standard tank? That is with a normal intake and return but without a sump. I have the ocean clear 317 and 325 and the blueline pump is a model 70 rated at 1750 gph.

I know I may need to add a larger pump or additional bio canister but think the increase in usable tank space without over flows and less evaporation from eliminating a sump would make it worth doing. Your thoughts? Ideas?
