I picked up my 20 Dubs today at the GCCA swap :excited: . The man I picked them up from has been feeding them NLS. I'm confused though, I thought veggie flake food was the best bet for these guy & pelleted food high in fats/protein will lead to bloat.
What is the best food for these guys?
Please let me know what you think guys, he only gave me a couple days worth of food for them & I need to order something quick.
These guys are Juvies w/ their spots (some beginning to band) F2.

Thanks for your help guys!

NLS has about 30 to 35% Protein content so it's not really that high. Supplement w/ some of Billansor's (Guru member here) Shrimp mix.

Cichlid 1 mm.

I also highly recommend Omega One Super Veggie pellets. I got both of these mixed in a tupperware and just feed them pinches at a time. Pellets don't pollute the water as much as flakes do.

Congrats on the Dubs! You are gonna L O V E them.

I just ordered some from a member here today (for my in-laws and to add some new blood to my existing colony here at home).
I had to tear down their aquarium and get about 70lbs of rock out just to remove the Front (moved him into my holding tank) I'm gonna hook them up w/ pool filter sand as substrate and add some more filtration, It was fun though.

Dubs rule.......
