In one of my new world tanks I have four juvie Tahuantinsuyoa macantzatza that are near maturity... Jeff (Rapps) sent them to me after I lost my fish room in the ice storm last winter.

For those who are unfamiliar with these fish, they are South American cichlids that are basically the Amazon's version of mbuna. They are mouthbrooding and don't hold territories.. although they can be pushy.

I'm not sure I have the guts to try this... but it got me thinking... it just might work esp if I tried raising everyone together as juvies.
Has anyone ever considered this combination before?

I love unusual combinations... so maybe someday I'll experiment with it.

I don't have pics of mine ... but here's one:
