Are these the ones that are called texas red fin as well?

Apexpredator

No, the ones you are thinking of are called "Texas" Red Fin Ubwari.

or you may be thinking of Texas "Red Fin" Longola.

The Texas Blues are closely related but not the same fish.

You guys should snap up those Texas Blue's. They dont come in very often and Steve has them at a great price.

Incredible fish once they settle in and color up.

Thanks for answering my question Apex.. My LFS has a single petro that he is calling a Texas red fin, It's not got the facial markings of the ones shown here, and it has no colour at all (other than grey) he was trying to give it away to me and I passed.

I was going to take 16 of them but then my wife came and told me we have another kid on the way. :roflmao: Life has a funny way of coming at you.

Now I cant get them and, actually, I am selling off some of my fishroom. I suppose kids need clothes and food afterall.

You guys buy them up for me so i can live, vicariously, through your fish pics.

They are not super aggressive in comparison to some of them (for instance longola is more aggressive ). I was quite suprised as I thought they would be REALLY mean. One of my favs.
