I had kept my group of redfin longola's, famula's, lone texas tembwe, and a pair of ephippium(sp?) in a rubbermaid tub whilst I was switching out their 125g tank for a 180g. Two weeks passed with all in darkened tub. I fed sparingly every second day and all did splendid. Upon pulling adult fish to put in 180 and as I began draining tub, I noticed a couple little fish swimming around. I pulled out four fry that hid themselves very well under a strawberry pot. I'm guessing the fries are petro famula's, but will post pic's and see what kind of feedback I get. They were around 3/4" long, light-colored, and vertical barring? I'm assuming longola fry would be a tad bigger, but am not sure as I have yet to see fry from those.

Update on longola's too. Ended up coming home last week to see one of my biggest longola females belly up, breathing hard, and tore up pretty bad. Everything was fine the night before. I pulled her and put in one of my empty 75's, but she did not make it through the night. Am getting a bit nervous now, as I have five males and am down to three girls. Have yet to see any more spawning behavior since I moved group into the 180g. I've increased the rockwork and skipped the substrate on this tank. These petro's kick out a lot of waste when you feed them well. Bare-bottom allows me to target siphon waste a little better. Two biggest males are developing crazy pectoral trailers. Will try to get pic's of those too.

Wow, sorry to hear about that.
Break up the Longola ASAP, and separate it out, you will be down to one male before you know it.
Your spelling is correct.
Post a pic of the fry and I should be able to tell you what it is.
I can fix your Longola problem for you if you want to part with them.

LOL, we can all help fix his problem by taking them off his hands.

You guys are killin' me...

Here's a decent pic of petro baby. Famula??? There's a couple troph Chaitika fry in this pic too. Maybe I'll give those away too. Watching them grow is stressing me like these dang petros...

Sully those are definitely Famula fry. They look just like my Texas gold fry at the same size.
