Sorry to be a "homer," but I'll take the Colts 31 to Pats 14. How's that Heather? LOL

Sorry Matt.. don't put money on that prediction.
The Pats will win that game & go on to play in the Superbowl. It's just that the Colts never win the big games. However, they do have Vinnie now!!
I can't wait.. I'll be in Boston to watch the game with a bar full of Patriot fans!!

Never win the big games????? Really???? How about two wins in Foxboro in a row? And beating two of the top two running backs in the league with D? Beating the #1 defense on their field???? And it was Baltimore no less!?!?!?!?! Ah well. We'll all see come Sunday!

My little brother got tickets! Jealous older bro here.....

Pierre, I have two more words for you....

"Peyton Face"

:fies010: :fies010: :fies010: :fies010: :fies010:

That might be a New England reference, so apologies to everyone else if that's the case ....... http://trophs.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/killingme.gif

Matt, the Colts are outstanding, there's no arguing with that. I actually think the Colts are more talented then the Patriots... but that doesn't always mean they're the best team IMO. It takes more then talent to win the big games don'tcha know http://trophs.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif http://trophs.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blah.gif Willie McGinest can read Peyton Manning like a book regardless of the system, Willie memorized the subconscious cues Peyton has a habit of making. But we don't have Willie anymore... so there's a huge edge we've lost. http://trophs.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif

We shall see Matt. http://trophs.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I'll tell you another one you miss there in NE: Ty Law. More ints of Peyton than any other player. He's one that knows Peyton like the back of his hand.

Heather

Sure thing. Absolutely.

The thing is, the Patriots are without a doubt the best in the league at overcoming the loss of key players. http://trophs.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif

Sorry Matt, Your right. I should have been more specific by saying they never win the big games, playoffs or divisional games ( back when) against NE.
Colts are a good team and Manning is a great QB, but they always seem to come up short against NE when its a sudden death game to advance.
Heather, I'm not sure where I'll end up in Boston. I'm leaving here on Friday, not even sure where I will be staying!. Any suggestions? I've been surfing the web & found "Game On " sports bar near Fenway and "The Fours" which also seems like a nice place, a little more reserved.

GO PATS GO !!!

Sure thing.... Cask 'n Flagon (http://www.casknflagon.com/) right outside of Fenway. Get there early http://trophs.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif

There's plenty of others within walking distance too http://trophs.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_cheers.gif

Oh, ....

And in 2004 the Patriots defeated the Colts 20-3 in the post-season despite Ty Law being out for the season... so it can be done.... http://trophs.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif

Thanks H!

No kidding it was a great game. It's been a post season like that - all good football games. I'll admit that the way the Pats got out in front of the Colts had me VERY worried...... WooHoo! First time the INDY Colts have been to the big game. Ought to be fun!

I'm taking the Colts in a LANDSLIDE! I think Freeney and Mathis get to Grossman early and often and the fast secondary makes quick work of the Bears receivers. On the other side of the ball, I can see the Colts starting off a bit on the slow side - if the Bears can remember how they played D in the first half of the season and forget the second half - but then picking things up in the second quarter. I'd like to see Jim Sorgi taking snaps for the Colts by the middle of the 4th! LOL :fies010:

No matter what happens it looks to be a great game. I'm SO EXCITED!!!!! Best wishes to the Bears fans too. Lovie Smith is another stand-up guy like his buddy Tony Dungy. Couldn't imagine two coaches more deserving of a SB victory!

Heather

I'm not sure about Grossman... and the Colts' defense sure is playing impressively. I'd really like to see the bears win though.

We'll see.... what's the spread currently?
